Well, some can be a little…hmm…high maintenance, but on the whole, clients are cool.Â It’s great to be able to sit and chat with people who are passionate about their business and genuinely want to hear your opinions (and subsequently get very excited about your ideas!).
The SEO industry is so competitive that there rarely is a chance to sit and just chat about stuff that interests you without having a dozen people butt in with conflicting “evidence” or opinions.Â Don’t get me wrong – debates have their place, but I’m talking about just sitting down and taking on a project head first with someone who really gives a damn about it.
For example, eFlaunt just picked up a new client last week and I did my usual phone call with the guy today after receiving his brief.Â Man he was passionate about his business – I loved it – we ended up having a good chat about ideas and possibilities for a few hours! Â Fantastic!
eFlaunt try to select clients that are cool to work with – obviously there’s a limit to how much you can learn about new clients, but generally I like folks who say, “hey eFlaunt – you guys know what you’re talking about” and we can say, “hey (client), you know what you’re talking about”.Â OK, a bit cheesy but generally it’s a good sign for any campaign that both the agency and the client are on the same wavelength!
