Been partying most the weekend, so spent some time chilling with mates watching a few films.  Not exactly Barry Norman, but I wanted to add some thoughts.

Superman Returns

OK – I expected better.  Some nice action scenes but the whole thing went Episode II with the romance side of things.  Didn’t anyone pay attention to the fansite comments on that one?

I literally laughed out loud after Superman saved the plane load of people and mentioned that air travel is still statistically the safest way to travel!!  In the middle of a Baseball field no less!! Jeez could that be more American cheese filled propaganda?  Give me a break!

Snakes on a plane

I thought it was pretty good – OK cheesy as hell but you get what you pay for – good old fashioned loose plot, insane situation and comedy deaths!  The big titted blonde getting a snake attached to her tits was funny, but definitely second to the poor sod taking a leak while the snake creeps up the toilet bowl!

Samuel L. Jackson came out with a few classic one liners too – good stuff!

V for Vendetta

I liked it – I think people kinda expected another Matrix and as such it got a bad review, but I thought it was pretty good.  Although the dialogue is a little tough to follow after a few beers.
