A recent “article” posted by the boffins at Bigmouthmedia explains to users the benefits of using CSS for SEO and finish off with some great advice (emphasis added by me):
“But, everything that is good always can be abused. Certain SEO professionals can use XHTML and CSS to hide text on a page so it isn’t visible [...]

Forum spam posts

I run a couple of forums and naturally I spend quite a lot of time deleting autogenerated spam posts.  I’ve seen quite a change over the past year though – one lot of spam posts come in joke form and half the time (to the uninitiated) they even get some positive responses and aren’t removed! [...]

Newbies, wannabes and fools

Just a little rant about the obtuse behaviour of those who think they know it all but in reality don’t know much about anything.

Sure, they no doubt spend a load on PPC and it could very will be killing off a reasonable source of business for you, but hey – it’s [...]

Forum spammer – follow up

Posted by: Marketing Guy Date posted: July 12th, 2006 Published in: Public Relations, Rants n Drama, Spam

Had an email from the guy who spammed one of my forums a few months ago.  Interestingly he denied any SEO-focused attempt to spam and suggested that it was a piece of ill-conceived market research.
Still haven’t decided if I’m gonna publish his email on the thread though.  I guess I should to be fair, but [...]

Link Exchanges / Being An Ass

Some people seriously don’t have a clue.  Where in the world of logic does it seem like a good idea to try and blag links from people by suggesting that they are in error?  Do people actually fall for that?
Eg…
Dear Webmaster,
We can no longer find the reciprocal link to our site on your site.  As [...]
