Free SEO reviews for small businesses

Posted by: Marketing Guy Date posted: December 11th, 2006 Published in: SEO Reviews

Gonna try out something new and see how it goes – free SEO reviews for small businesses.  Basically, users can now submit posts to the blog (don’t go live until I approve them), so I’m going to allow submissions for site reviews (restricted to small businesses). I think this would be a great way to [...]

Oi! Take your site down!

Funny email posted on Dean’s blog – a request from another site who Dean out ranked (naturally) asking that Dean remove his blog from the Google SERP!  The reasoning being that a “business” site is more deserving to have the top spot than a blog… 10 points for insane effort.

Ooh new look!

For about the 4th or 5th time since I started the blog, I have yet again added a new theme.  Still got a few bits and pieces to tweak, but I’m starting to like this one. The old theme (painted desert) was quite nice as well, but it came on 1 php file (most WordPress [...]

The ethical debate…Touch Search Marketing

Posted by: Marketing Guy Date posted: November 22nd, 2006 Published in: Rants n Drama, SEO Agencies

Having a look around a few sites, I come across a SEO agency called Touch Search.  Their SEO page says: “Note: Touch Search Marketing promotes ethical search engine optimisation. We strongly object to black-hat SEO techniques that spam the web and could result in a permanent ban from search engines.” Indeed very noble (highlighting added [...]

A reasonable request based on a topic which is pretty complicated.  However the resulting “discussion” made [...]

Movies and stuff

Been partying most the weekend, so spent some time chilling with mates watching a few films.  Not exactly Barry Norman, but I wanted to add some thoughts. Superman Returns OK – I expected better.  Some nice action scenes but the whole thing went Episode II with the romance side of things.  Didn’t anyone pay attention [...]
